چکیده
Abstract Background 8–28% of patients infected with COVID-19 have evidence cardiac injury, and this is associated an adverse prognosis. The cardiovascular mechanisms injury are poorly understood speculative. We aim to use multimodality imaging including magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging, computed tomography coronary angiography (CTCA) positron emission 2-deoxy-2-[fluorine-18]fluoro- d -glucose integrated (18F-FDG-PET/CT) identify the pathophysiological related infections. Methods This a single-centre exploratory observational study aiming recruit 50 infection who will undergo biomarker sampling. Of these, 30 combined CTCA 18F-FDG-PET/CT, followed by CMR. Prevalence obstructive non-obstructive atherosclerotic disease be assessed using CTCA. CMR used characterise myocardial presence dysfunction, fibrosis, oedema infarction. 18F-FDG-PET/CT vascular inflammation. Primary endpoint pathology association troponin levels. Discussion results modality infection, utility multi-modality in diagnosing such injury. further inform clinical decision making during pandemic. Trial Registration : has been retrospectively registered at ISRCTN registry (ID ISRCTN12154994) on 14th August 2020. Accessible https://www.isrctn.com/ISRCTN12154994
